The short version

CrestLite is a gear-list manager. We collect only what we need to run the service, we don't sell your data, and your gear lists are private unless you choose to share them.

What we collect

• Account information you provide, such as your name and email address.
• Your content, the gear items, libraries, and trip lists you create.
• Basic usage and diagnostic data needed to keep the service reliable and secure.

How we use it

We use your information to operate your account, store and display your gear data, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Sharing

Trip lists are private by default. When you mark a list public, anyone with its link can view it. You can make a list private again at any time.

Cookies

We only set essential cookies: the ones that keep you signed in and protect your session. We don't use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, so there's no cookie banner to dismiss. If that changes, we'll ask for your consent first.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of third parties to run the service (hosting, storage, error tracking). See our sub-processor list for who they are and what they see.

Your choices

You can update or delete your gear data at any time. From Settings you can also export a machine-readable copy of your data and request deletion of your account yourself, no email required.
